In January 2023, Roman Fields was awarded advanced accreditation by the National Autistic Society, one of a select few institutions that have achieved this nationally.

In September 2023, the JMA opened on the Roman Fields site.

In June 2024, Roman Fields was inspected by Ofsted.

In September 2024, the James Marks Academy opened on its new site in Welwyn Garden City.
