Our Performance
Outcomes
James Marks Academy Trust prides itself on delivering outstanding outcomes for the pupils who attend our provisions. Currently, this pages shows the GCSE outcomes for Roman Fields Academy, as James Marks does not have pupils in KS4. The first KS4 cohort will start formal qualifications in 2025. The outcomes from RFA are both the source and reflection of pride.

Context: Roman Fields is at a disadvantage in regard to outcomes due to the length of time the pupils are at the school and the number of subjects they can therefore access, particularly in consideration of the long abstractions from education that they have typically suffered. However, the figures do help us to demonstrate and interrogate the ever-widening breadth of education we attempt to deliver for our pupils, and their attainment therein. This same disadvantage applies to an extent in regard to “5 GCSEs” measures, but the above figures demonstrate the effectiveness of our efforts to make sure the disadvantage does not translate to pupil attainment and outcomes.
Our aim is to replicate the excellent progress pupils make at James Marks Academy. Many of our pupils come to the provision with significant gaps in their knowledge and have had lengthy periods of time without an adequate education. It is therefore vital that we ensure rapid progress and support pupils back into school to achieve success in the widest sense.
