Parent Support Group
Teachers are skilled, highly qualified and knowledgeable about their subjects." - Ofsted
James Marks Academy appreciates that parents can feel isolated when dealing with their child's complex needs; we also understand that we are a school for these pupils, and as such give parents the opportunity to form friendships at the school gate.
Sometimes, the biggest form of support can be garnered from those that have had similar issues themselves and, as a result, can offer advice and empathise. In order to support the development of our community and the wider family, we run a Parent Support Group. In this group, parents meet to discuss a wide range of issues related to their child's education. When we are able, we will invite guest speakers both from within and outside the organisation.
These sessions should start in the second half of the autumn term 2024. Details will be shared with parents in due course.
Parents of pupils currently attending the school are welcome to attend.
